Once upon a time there was a girl. A lonely and sad girl. Her days passed locked away in a prison where she could not escape. But how did she get there? She locked herself in afraid of the world, afraid the world will hate her, despise her. She's afraid of being lonely, having no friends or family, no one to care for her. So, she locked herself, at least her true self. People around her can't see she's hiding, can't see the real her ... They have never tried either. They criticize her, praise her, reward her for what she is not. They don't care to try to understand her. They label her as anti-social, loner, rude, cold, heartless without even trying to understand her. The problem is, those who try, give up easily or are happy with the thin layers she shows ... but is not only their fault. She doesn't want to be found nor to be understood ... She got used to it. Having no one understanding her and no company. She got used to being alone and finding silence pleasant. She rather be with animals or in the nature than with humans or big groups of people. She hides her emotions in the words she writes and throws away, in the music she plays, in the drawings she draw, in the smile of her face. She doesn't remember when she locked herself away though, she doesn't remember those days when she freely expressed herself. Did they even existed? Or did days like that were only illusions? She can't remember and honestly, she doesn't even care anymore. Let them label her as weak, as cold, as heartless, because maybe she is becoming just that.
