SHE

She left my heart aching

for that hopeful play

when we would be together

forever and a day.

She stole my heart in seconds

she truly was the best

I never shall forget

her ever subtle breast.

She gave me hope and courage

which I had not a shread

the love I feared lost

was never ever dead.

She told me she was lazy

I never would protest

because I knew her spirit

was little much of zest.

She had to say goodbye

I never stood a prayer

for when it was time for tea

I would be gone, be lost, without her.
