Fam.i.ly

In my home, I feel alone

In my home, I am the sick

Those who said they would always protect me have not

They have left me

I am now to fend for myself

I have a husband, a father, and a son, but no other bloodline

I am the one they seek when they want to hear crying

I am the one they seek when they have rage

As the abused, my heart cannot understand

As the abused, how can they hear me and refuse to acknowledge my pain

Is my story an attention getter

Does it embarrass them

How can my T.V. portray loving and supportive families, but mine right before their eyes, denies me

Is it me

Am I too late to speak
