I have an appreciation for what it feels like to live with danger, be shot at have soldiers killed and injured by enemy fire, i have also seen and treated civilians hurt and killed in accidents.
Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a dangerous and debilitating disorder for all walks of life, but is more prevalent in HM Forces due to the constant high alertness of readiness.

I enlisted into the Army in 1971 and served 22 years during my time i served in various areas of conflict and peacekeeping roles. I was discharged in 1992 after applying for early retirement. 13 years after my retirement i was diagnosed with P.T.S.D. This is my story of how P.T.S.D had a major impact on my family and myself.
