In darkness lies...the unknown

The terror, the horror, the unshown

Fear resides in shadowed corners

Blanketed are we within our borders

Slowly, we sit and wait our days

living amongst this bright lit maze.

Shrouded hope exists inside

of an everlasting that there abides.

Can we see ourselves? Do we know our pain?

Each breath we breathe creates rain.

Lest, we feel the inner fight

We'll never see the shining light.

In the last, we weep of our demise,

Crumbled Earth poured over head.

Lain down gently in a boxed-up bed

“Rise up”, I say to a brand-new scene

Live your life; see your dreams

Unfold your mind and take in belief

For yonder goes beyond the skies

And no one knows

What in darkness lies.
