How can you define what an achievement is? It is different for everyone at every stage in their lives; an achievement for a baby is saying its first words, an achievement for a HGS student is doing as well in exams as possible.

We all have different mountains to climb, and when we finally make it to the top, we feel elated, whether it is getting a gold medal in the Olympics or proving to someone that you really are more than meets the eye. It is crucial to work hard so that we can make these achievements, but it is equally important to celebrate accomplishments.

So what is an achievement? It is doing as well as you can in anything, no matter how big or  small, individually, or as part of a team.

Once accomplished, you have reached your goal;  it doesn't matter whether other people find it hard or not, so long as you are doing as well as you can, improving as much as you can, learning as much as you can then you have made an achievement.

So how do you define an achievement? It is different to everyone, everyone has their own mountains to climb.
