In the twilight mist the world was kissed

By angelic songs that were older than time

And the gospels were woven from the word of God,

Distributed to shepherds in pastureland rhyme.

Parables, stories, all the heavenly glories

Were woven like cloth into clothes for a king

And as long as they call him and remember his deeds

He lives forever like the songs that they sing.

All those books put to pen, by prophets and men

Are recited by followers, chapter and verse.

It is a blessing to the greedy, the humble and needy,

But to others a blindfold and sometimes a curse.

So go and see, and explain it to me,

What you do find within the twilight mist.

Look for the place that is heaven and hell,

With a prophetic sort of twist.
