Why it’s ok to be a Little sad sometimes

It is okay because it’s genuine, because if you weren’t sad you’d be hiding.

It is okay because it’s who you are right now, and you should always be yourself.

It is okay because when you feel better, it’ll remind you that there’s always a way out.

It is okay because you learn when you are sad. You learn why uou are sad, and you learn how to be happy again.

It is okay because it proves you are not ashamed of how you feel, because you have nothing to hide. Why would you have to hide?

You’d have to hide because someone is manipulating you, not letting you talk.

You’d have to hide because if you do you hurt yourslef, and if you don’t you hurt those you love.

You’d have to hide because you feel ashamed. Of yourself? No, of someone else.

You’d have to hide because you can’t believe, you don’t want to believe, that someone you genuenly loved could betray you like that.

You’d have to hide because you know you’re right, but you can’t get over how wrong you were. Why were you wrong?

You were wrong because you trusted the wrong person with literally everything you were and had.

You were wrong because you hurt someone who didn’t deserve it. You knew you were hurting them. But she led you to believe he deserved it.

You were wrong because you thought of yourself as worthless, because she made you feel worthless.

You were wrong because she led you to believe she was right. And although you had yor suspitions, you couln’t know better.

You were wrong because you thought she was right. She wasn’t. She was manipulative. Why was she they manipulative?

She was manipulative because she was sick. And she knew she was, but she chose to do nothing about it.

She was manipulative because she thought she had power over you. She did.

She was manipulative because she had learned to put herself first. Always. It had become a part of her personality.

She was manipulative because she didn’t care weather she was hurting you, as long as she got her way.

She was manipulative because she could. Why could she?

She could because you let her.

She could because that’s what you had always known, and she had made you believe that’s how it should be.

She could because she knew you’d never leave her side, because you didn’t know what she was doing to you.

She could because she thought you weren’t Smart enough to figure it out. She was wrong.

She could because you thought you were worthless, and you thought she was only making you better. Why did you think you were worthless?

You thought you were worthless because no matter what you did, it was never enough for her.

You thought you were wortless because if she wasn’t happy, she wouldn’t let you be happy. And she was never happy.

You thought you were worthless because she was sick, and she taught you how to think like her.

You thought you were worthless because you spent so much time around her, you became sick yourself.

You thought you were worthless because you wouldn’t let yourself be anything but that.

You thought you were worthless because you were poisoned, but you got better.

How did you get better?

First you realised she was sick.

Then you realised you couldn’t trust a Word she said, because her Words were nothing but twisted and organised to cause as much damage as posible.

Once you stopped trusting her, you realised you were sick yourself.

You realised this, but it was only long after that you accepted it.

After accepting it, you changed your attitude towards others. And then towards her.

Once you knew all this, she stopped having control over you.

Then you took control over yourself.

After, you grew closer to those who you knew had no clue, but if they did, you knew they’d only want to see you heal.

And then, sllowly but surely, you got better.

You accepted you were sad, and you accepted that, for a very long time, you were gonna be sad.

You chose to make yourself happy as much as posible, and you let others make you happy as much as they could.

You made others happy when you could, because knowing they were well helped you heal the most. They didn’t know, but you were only repaying what you had taken away from them.

You were not sick anymore. Now you are only sad.

And you are okay with that. Why? Because it is okay to be a Little sad. Being a Little sad had saved you before, and you know that, with time, it will save you again.
