It was a crisp Christmas Eve

And all me mates had gathered

Down at the pub;

We were bound to get lathered.

When in walked McGregor,

Sanders, and Moore,

They just walked through the wall,

Never opening the door.

"Give us a taste,"

Said Sanders real load

As he sat himself down

In the midst of the crowd.

"Two pints for us too,"

Said McGregor and Moore,

"If you don't serve us quick

Then we'll give you what for."

Then everyone laughed,

As friends often do,

At the words of the three,

So stark and tinged blue.

This crowd grows silent

Whenever ghosts appear,

But the ghosts in this pub

We do not fear.

We serve them some chips,

Filets of Cod,

And a pint for each ghost.

To us it's not odd.

They once were regulars

And they know everyone,

So they show up each Christmas

To join in the fun.

They don't cause much trouble

And no one really cares

If they're dead as a doornail.

We mates don’t split hairs?
