It was a crisp Christmas Eve

And all me mates had gathered

Down at the pub;

We were bound to get lathered.

When in walked McGregor,

Sanders, and Moore,

They walked through the wall,

But not through the door.

"Give us a taste,"

Said Sanders real load

As he sat himself down

In the midst of the crowd.

"Two pints for us too,"

Said McGregor and Moore,

"If you don't serve us quick

Then we'll give you what for."

We all grow silent

When ghosts appear,

But the ghosts in this pub

We do not fear.

We serve them some chips

And filets of Cod,

A pint for each ghost.

To us it's not odd.

They once were regulars

And they know everyone,

Now they show up each Christmas

To join in the fun.

They don't cause much trouble

And no-one really cares

If they're dead as a doornail.

We mates, we don’t split hairs?
