Dream synopsis

So hot that it felt cold,
So young that I felt old,
Into a rabbit hole I found,
To peak my head above the ground.
Ran away from something strange,
Chased the creature out of range.
Saw my own self looking back,
In the eyes of something black.
Who could know what it saw in mine,
Count 1 from 10 and stopped at nine.
Bracing myself for the fall,
Closed my eyes and stood up tall,
Impact seemed to never come.
Woke up to the morning sun.
