the sun sets at the end of each day.

and the children no longer can play.

ma is cooking supper

pa is coming home.

the dog is inside,

so the squirels are left alone.

the flicker of the street lamps,

and the closed signs in the shops.

the sisters whispering,

and the brothers telling them to stop.

the clock is ticking more vilioontly

and so is the sound of the tv.

the horses in the barn now,

so are the chickens and the cows.

the cat starts to ponder its ways

at the sunset at the end of each day.
