Let’s forget the memories,

The ones that we don’t share,

And just live in this moment --

The ghosts they are not there.

But those ghosts they like their haunting,

Don’t like to fade away,

They’ll be back so very soon,

Their influence to play.

The past it is now dead and gone

We can no longer bring a change,

But it doesn’t have to be so strong

And the future rearrange.

Their influence can’t be denied

In forming who we are,

Those ghostly figures hover

And are never very far.

But what the hell, the past is gone

You’re you and I am me,

Let’s just for this one moment

From the those ghosts be free.
