A very very very long time ago

There was a sad old buffalo.

He roamed the plains of his grassy home

With no friends and nowhere to go.

He wished for company every day

But every time it never came.

He began to lose hope, he felt down and blue

But then all of a sudden he met a bird called Dew.

The buffalo and bird became fast friends

And their need for each other would never end

Dew was kind bird who was good at heart,

He hoped that he and the buffalo would never part.

So together they stayed; the Buffalo and Dew.

Giving one another something that was special and new.

Dew told stories of his fascinating life

And the buffalo shared memories of his children and late wife.

Wherever they were, the buffalo and Dew,

They would always remind people of what friendship should mean to you.
