This is my first attempt at poetry. For my wife.
My next one will not be as soppy, promise!

I want to thank my wife

For everything she does

For listening to me going on

And never making a fuss.

For sitting through hours of Star Trek

I want to be James T Kirk

For coming with me to music gigs

For driving me to work

She knows how lucky she is

I really am a catch

Even though I talk about my stories

While she's trying to watch the match

She puts up with my long list

Of fads that change almost daily

From writing this here poem

To strumming my ukulele

She's my IT and my accountant

All rolled in to one

She gives as good as she gets though

We really do have fun.

Mrs P is my best friend

She's the woman I adore

I've learned that if the Reds get beat

Just don't mention the score!

She's my ray of Majorcan sunshine

My beam of golden sun,

She cheers me up when I'm down,

And she's Ringo's mum.

Can't imagine my life without her,

I don't know where I'd be

There's just one more thing left to say

I loves you, Mrs P.
