You’re sitting there

And staring here

The long night is past

The darkness is gone

Still our sorrows remain

Our grief a thousand fold

In the heat of day

Still staring here

There’s fire in the air

Burning my veins my frame

This light is darkness

Or the darkness in light

Still we live and breathe

Or breathe out to live

We hope, hoping still

A therapy of grief

We’ll live and fight

And strive with faith

Against the storm we’ll hope

And survive, to thrive.
