The Champion Of Loss

You don't have to tell me you're not mine

But you told me anyway

So my heart said "goodbye"

Rejection is your weapon

To ruin me

Repulsion is my reaction

You hate on me

You can join the rest of the Duncan Haters

And have your place in my "iggie bin"

Where I dump all my enemies

Who can no longer stand me

You didn't have to tell me

About your dissatisfaction with me

But if you never did

I would have still been tryin'

Goin' nowhere

With a nobody

If you reap the math

You wave "goodbye"

But a message on my 'phone

Has no visual to show me

If it's my turn to burn

Let me crash first

If I already did

Let the fire die out

Before you light me up again

You don't have to tell me it's not right

I can read distance

We're not reaching each other

You're just pushing me away

Because truth was shoved in your face

Sabotaging me, completely

It didn't have to end this way

I haven't thought a thought

That I couldn't think of

You just slammed the brakes

Broke up before we hooked up

You were just an impossible task

Waiting for you to be ready

Would have drifted you to another

And I still would be losing

'Cause I refused to play along

With the waiting game

Miss my chances

And be alone that day

This end result

Could've not been avoided

I've no one to blame

But my own self

For opening my big mouth

Causing you to find out
