As she moves to the edge of the roof she pauses for a second. She feels like she is being watched by someone.
She looks back.... nothing but silence and darkness around her. She takes one step closer to the ledge, closes her eyes and takes in the moment. A moment without the stresses the day brought her, a moment of silence.
Her moment of silence is interrupted by a voice "I get it, it's nice up here. you can just shut down all the systems, turn out all the lights just close your eyes and tune out everyone".

As she turned around there is nothing and no one around her
"Don't worry, I won't hurt you", he said. "There is no one up here that can hurt you".
A little startled she was but the voice comforted her "the silence.... I can get used to it", she said. "I don't come here often, just when it becomes too much for me. I think about it but I never dare to go on with it... I don't have kids, no career, no one would miss me, I'm alone", she said. The silence took over again, she started thinking about what she said. "I just don't know what I'm still doing on this planet". she said while a tear rolled down her face. There was no response from the darkness. As she turned around towards the voice she screamed "just stop me!!". Still no response as she started sobbing. "whyy!", she cried out. Then the voice answered "why are you still going on, and what's your point in life?.... I mean, it doesn't get any rougher than living", he said. Her crying came to a stop as she thought about what the voice said. "Just tell me what to do!!", she cried out "it's your choice what you do next, if you decide to go then you should just get on with it... Step off, and enjoy the ride. Or you can plant both feet on the ground and start living life, it's up to you".
She dried her eyes and looked up at the stars
"I'll admit one thing... Can't beat this view"

"it's time to home" the voice in her head said....
