~~~when experiences of enlightenment occur, often one looks back at their life, flashes of memory ripple through the mind like a pictograph. certain people and experiences bring feelings of joy or sorrow, the realization of a friend truly a foe, and especially of those now resting in peace; i like the most.
when an amount of people are met and a quick vision of their world is observed missing pieces of the panoramic puzzle are attached to complete the whole entire picture. the many masks one carries in their heart, one shown to their boss, one shown to their friends, one shown to their parents, and the one shown to themselves alone across a mirror all reflect different expressions.
my pictograph at times goes back to the day i returned to el paso and the call i received a week later asking me to go back to san antonio. i stayed.
this year has been about closure for me, easily done now that the puzzle has all it's missing parts. i look at my children and my mother and my mask in the mirror and all i have accomplished and all i have "lost"... i haven't lost anything at all i have become more enlightened...
take off the mask i know what it looks like now~~~
