When you are just lost with yourself and the world.

When I look in the mirror,

I cannot love

But what if you took a look

if you saw what I never found

A true person behind the mirror

And I would hug you tight and be happy

A real person at last

My soul is in so deep,

I cannot find it

I am a fish drowning in water

I watch the sardines in awe

They know how to swim

I am scared of what you would find

If you took a pick-axe and started digging

Would you find something red or brown?

What color is my beating heart?

And I would hug you tight and be happy

A real person at last

My soul is in so deep,

I cannot find it

I am a fish drowning in water

I watch the sardines in awe

They know how to swim

Tell me who I am

Would you please,

Tell me who I am

My soul is in so deep,

I cannot find it

I am a fish drowning in water

I watch the sardines in awe

They know how to swim

I love this so much! Beautifully written AND I love sardines. Ha ha!

I really like the way it flows and the story it tells. Sorry for not being more precise but it's been a long day and I'm at loss for words. I do enjoy it and I'll make sure to check out more of your work soon!
