My name is Dave Richards.I am a tall, athletic teen with a talent in boxing.I started boxing at the early age of twelve, when my parents split. Now, I live with my mom. We moved into a new house a few days ago with the will to start a new life. But, little did I know that our decision would ruin my life. So, here I am, going to share my utterly horrifying experience with you!: The new house was huge and stunning. It was just perfect for the both of us.Completely filled with happiness, I tugged her into a hug and we both crashed onto the lawn laughing and kicking. It was so good to see her smiling again.About three hours later,we finished setting up our things in the house. "Dave, why don't you give this apple pie to our new neighbours and become friends?",mom yelled from the kitchen. "Yeah, sure",I yelled back. That, my dear readers, is when the horror really starts. So brace yourselves! I held the pie firmly in my hands as I walked over to my neighbour's house. The house was painted black with the windows covered with hammered wooden planks.I walked up to the door and rang the doorbell. The bell's sound was weird, it played a high-toned witch's laughter. I ignored it, thinking the battery was down. I rang the bell again. Then with a loud creak, the door opened. What really surprised me was that no one really opened it, it opened by itself. I stepped in and the door shut behind me. The house was pitch black without the slightest hint of sunlight. Fear overwhelmed me. "Hello, is anybody there? I'm your new neighbour.I have brought you a fresh apple pie", I called out, aloud. Instantly, the light came on and I saw the most horrendous sight any human could ever imagine. In front of me, stood an old man, with clumps of hair ripped out along with his scalp which revealed his bloody skull. He had only one eye with the other one missing from his sockets. His chest was ripped open, revealing his broken ribcage and his rotting organs inside. His whole body was soaked with blood.I controlled my urge to puke on him and run. In one split second, he jabbed me in the cheek. I heard the pie plate fall on the ground as I crashed to the floor. A mixture of anger, fear and pain overwhelmed me. I stood up allowing my boxing instincts to take control. I took my boxing stance and waited. "I mean you no harm, old man. If you need help, you can come over to my house",I said. He grinned with his jagged teeth. I tried to punch him in the face but he dodged it with ease. Gathering momentum, I punched him square in the chest, waiting for him to fall. But no such thing happened. He took a few steps forward and punched me hard in the ribs. I crumpled to the floor as my bones cracked. Pain flared through my body. He walked up to me, with a wicked grin on his face. I tried to get up but I couldn't. Slowly, he pulled out something from his back pant pocket. Clearing my vision, I saw that it was a gun. " No....No..please...let me go...I won't come here again..", I begged. He pointed the gun to my forehead. Tears welled up in my eyes as he locked the gun at my head. "I will be back",he said, coldly. Without further hesitation, he pulled the trigger. The sound of the bullet exiting the gun echoed through the walls of the house which made it look like bullets were going off in all the rooms of the house. As soon as the bullet touched my forehead my vision went blank, my thoughts stopped and my memories vanished. I woke in my bed in my new house. My body was enveloped with sweat. I checked my body for injuries but there was none. I heaved a sigh of relief with the satisfaction in mind that it was all a dream. Then, I remembered the house next door and ran to check it out. To my disbelief, there was absolutely no sign of a house ever existing here. There was just scorched, barren land. I ran back into my house looking for my mom. She was in the kitchen, engrossed in cooking that she barely noticed me. "Mom, why isn't there a house next door?", I asked. "Oh...well...That land belonged to an old man...People say that he died in a car accident and his body was never found but who knows...",she replied. Satisfied with her answer, I went to the bathroom to have a refreshing bath. I stood in front of the sink and peered into the mirror wondering how my brain could have imagined all of this. I closed my eyes, trying to shut my thoughts out. When I opened them, on the mirror were the words,"I AM BACK", written in blood. Instinctively, I turned around to see the man next door grinning at me with his gun aimed at my chest. "Bye..Bye",he whispered, and fired. The last thing I could feel was the bullet making its way to my heart. (Readers beware:You chose the scare) THE END
