"Anomie" is the first short story from a collection I'm currently working on. It tells the tale of a troubled man in a foreign land and his inopportune discovery of a mother and child in distress. It is borderline flash fiction and will appeal to fans of fantasy and magical realism as well as literary fiction. Please provide honest feedback, thank you.

Wow. That is pretty much what my dumbfounded mind could deliver right now. I had come to your post expecting a rather decent short story, nothing too fancy, a chance to earn a feedback for my own story in return. I was never so wrong. The introduction, descriptive and enigmatic, utterly detailed and sophisticated, had me hooked from the start of the story. My level of anticipation and excitement only rose from there. You had a splendidly wonderful amazing way with your language, with a means of describing the scenes to readers as if the story is an impressionistic painting, filling their world in all the fives senses yet also touching the core of their emotions and spiritual being. The feeling of suspense and scific when the man knocks on that mysterious door, and the response of the mother and child within were unsurmountable. The way you switch between scenes, not appealing to concise descriptions, but rather mysterious anticipation, really yank the heart of readers to graze against the emotional state of both the characters, all at once. Your use of dialogues without quotation marks, without the direct, straightforward description that entails, perfectly sets the mood of thriller and suspense along with the flow of the story. In summing all of the points up, I would like to say that your piece of writing is just purely amazing. I will definitely be constantly waiting, refreshing my page for the next chapter to arrive. Great job, seriously, great job!
