Just something I started writing earlier for some bizarre reason.

Okay I admit it, I was staring at you but what can I say? You’re beautiful. You glanced back at me with that gorgeous small smile of yours and I could feel my heart flippity-flop. Your blue eyes crinkled up with your smile and my stomach suddenly had butterflies fluttering in it. How could something so small affect me so much? I’d thought that I was incapable of love, that when I’d lost myself I’d lost my love for other people too. Yet my love for you persevered; my love for you is eternal. It’s solid, unshakable; it’s a part of me. You are a part of me. You’re the first person I want to tell, the first person I want to see when I wake up. You, my dear, are perfection in a cracked case. Perfection only because of your flaws. Your humanity, your mistakes – they complete you. Without those you would be shallow, two dimensional. There would be no point in loving someone so pure because surely they could not love someone so broken back? Their purity would corrupt them; drag them down into the fiery pits of hell to balance out the goodness, but you? The dark smudges on your soul are what humanises you; what distances you from the angels. How could one love an angel when their very existence drives a wedge between us? Such purity cannot exist on earth so we must be tarnished, battered, to survive here. Darling, don’t ever think that your pain, your loss, make you any less worthy. You are perfect because of your imperfections. Without them you would have failed to win my heart. I need someone as messed up as me. The shattered fall for the shattered, the whole for the whole. They lie when they say opposites attract; we must be with those who have seen our pain. The world my dear is ours. We can conquer it; freedom in the face of the truth. No one is without a crack but all that matters is that we accept that. Please don’t lose your smile my darling, I need it. We need it. We stand together, two broken pieces of the puzzle that is life slotted into each other like there is no destruction, no loss. We make each other strong; twice as brave with a different heart guarding our back. I know your demons and you know mine; please believe me when I say I love you. I love you to the end of the earth; I love you more than all the stars in the sky, more than all of the blades of grass in the world. Sweetheart, I love you with all I have. There is nothing I wouldn’t do for you; my soul is yours and yours mine.
