On Solstice day how I prefer to see, not the conifer but the deciduous tree. Standing in the silence within the snowy wood, the rain filled forests of serenity. Bare branches reminding of the human skeleton in the aged space of the dead. This tree is alive and appearances deceive. look again as in the spring life will burst forth, through the illusion that is death in peace.

Wow, this is very thought provoking. Almost figured this poem pessimistic, but the message brightens subtlely towards the end. Great job.

This is an intriguing play on mortality, makes me think a little deeper on the subject.
I love the comparison of the tree to a skeleton!

I enjoyed this piece of free verse, LE. I can see your deciduous tree very clearly in its 'rain filled forests of serenity'. Your poem has an uplifting ending to free us from the illusion of death.

You have been kind enough to read my work in the past and I’d really like to have your feed back on my latest diamond poem called ‘Defiance’.

Enjoy your writing.
