It was my favourite time of day …

I sat in my rocking chair sipping my coffee, the sweet smell of the dew moistened green grass wafting in through the open window …

The rose bushes were in bloom, and the yellow rosebud, nestling between the pink and white blossoms, had finally decided to open itself up to the golden rays of the sun on this glorious spring morning…..

The lilies seemed to be competing with the dahlias and the cherry blossoms for the attention of the solitary bumble bee that darted in and out from between the rows of flowers, humming softly to itself ....

And the sweetpeas and the pansies bobbed their heads whenever the gentle breeze blew past to embrace the chrysanthemums ….

Oh, I could just go on and on …and on …..

For what is there to prevent me, a lonely eighty year old alone in a home for the aged, blinded by cataract in both eyes, from seeing God’s beautiful creation through the eyes of my mind?
