A A A

Just a poem, don't worry, I'm not looking for a tall ladder and a short rope!

Time

Time was, when I knew where I was going,

and when to turn when I got there.

Now I'm lost, with no idea, no longer knowing

where to turn, is it here, there, do I dare?

Time was when I knew exactly what to say,

no matter what--I was the smooth operator,

cool under fire, at any hour, on any given day.

Now I'm the silent stranger standing outside the door.

Time was, when I knew exactly what to do

no matter what, in any event, in any situation.

Those days are over, now I turn my sad eyes to you,

to tell me where to turn, what to say--no longer do any apply, none.
