I who have not much,

Much have not I.

People come they go-

Life passes by.

Friends must be in hiding,

Hiding they must be

Because I never found any.

A very poor man I am,

A man is who is poor and ragged;

Raggedy man they say.

Not a bite to eat-

No,not for me.

Have no place to sleep,

Sleep? There is no place

But dreams I really miss…

Miss those precious dreams

I who have not much,

Much have not I,

And though I really miss my lady,

My lady, I couldn’t find.

Must not be my time,

But when shall my time be?

Guess time was never on my side,

And it can never be.
