Where Are You?

Seems like a straight forward question. But, do you know where you are? No, not at home. I mean, do you know where you are exactly, in the grand scheme of things? Let me paint a mental picture for you. You are somewhere on the Earth as you read this, hurtling through space at 67,000 mph as the Earth orbits the Sun. The Solar system itself traveling around the Milky Way at 514,000 mph. All the while the Milky Way is moving through the Universe towards Andromeda at 280,000 mph. And the Milky Way and other galaxies in our cluster of galaxies are moving towards what astronomers call the great attractor at unimaginable speeds. The Universe was set in motion since the Big Bang and has been in motion ever since. Even atoms jiggle around. The Universe in constant motion and yet, you'd never know it. Where you were a minute ago is not where you are now. On the Earth, sure. But your place in the Universe is always changing. To think that everything that exist, could once fit in the palm of your hand and is now so vast, that you could not comprehend its truly unfathomable size. The mysteries of today is tomorrows facts. The atoms in my body were forged in the heart of a star. And I shall again be cosmic dust enveloping the silhouette of light permeating the darkest corners of the Universe.
