she brought her lady bag

full of breath mints, black nylons

a phallus or two, and bad breath

she was on the cheating side

of town

not a place of cheer but

older men with bellies

and full of beer

stale perfume and body odor

tattoos on freckled shoulders

a place of doom and gloom

adultery and fornication

and they are cheaters

and wife beaters

with black eyes and

dark skies

the only thing they

have in common is

the grunt of bulls

and cow udders

and the war is over

pounding like jack hammers

paper thin walls

she got what she wanted

a life so cheap and hidden

saurkraut and taco sauce

on a lady's chin

she bites the ice chips

and takes waitress tips

hungry for action

like a bull in a rodeo

grunting on the bed

without shame

fortune or fame

cheating motel of paradise

a life so dumb dumb

not so very nice
