And He Lied Again

By John Jimoh

How can we live the life

Going to all the cardinals of life

Betrayals flounce traversely the streets of life

Just when you think uprightness forays life

The evil underneath the tongue queries life

Humans lying to humans in the bid for life

The man lied time and time again

He lied to the world about his mother

For reckless abandon

He lied to the world about his family

In sorrow to leave them with

He screws shenanigans for blackmails

The iris of his cronies to murder in deceit

He saunters the aisle of the communion table

The flesh and blood to gulp in contempt

Gracious creator!

Indeed you seat both good and evil

The stench of his lies stings, it repels

He feigns ingenuity to bait his prey

Raining lies in the full glare of the world

With shame unrestrained, no one to spare

When before the priest with a slot to atone

He lied again his destiny to shatter in hell
