Running Wild

There was an old, white cottage which in winter was cold and damp but overheated in summer. A loving poor family lives there and is called the Silvers. Despite the fact they are poor, they are generous and loving however like in all family's they have some ups and downs but after get along.

It was a usual morning at the Silvers and Mrs Silver awoke from her sleep, she brushed her curly fair hair and put the kettle on. All of a sudden, Jessica Silver, who is 11 years old, ran downstairs and plonked herself on the moth-eaten settee and read a book. Meanwhile, Judy was writing in her diary. After re-reading her book, Jessica asked in a small voice "this is awfully good mummy can you get a new book for my birthday next year?" "No! They are a fortune and you know how much we need the money, your dad is even working night shifts get the cash! Not that his boss gives him any! And I earn half your dad's wages so we just can't simply afford it." said Mrs Silvers in a pained tone. Mr Silver sweeps chimneys for a living with a boss who only gives him quarter the expected salary! "Sorry mum I'll wake up Judy then!" she said. Jessica loves books she can never get her head out of one when she is older and gets a mansion she will definitely have a library!

Jessica slowly walked into the room and saw that Judy had fallen asleep with her two black plaits beside her and saw her diary open and read it in her head.

13th of July 2010
Dear diary,
Jess my sister is starting to get annoying she can't even go downstairs without waking me up at 5:00! SHE RUINS EVERYTHING AND ALWAYS FOLLOWS ME AND MUM AND DAD SPOILS HER EVEN WHEN THE MONEY IS DAMN LOW AND let's go and get a chocolate bar for Jess and nothing for Judy! I DON'T UNDER...

Rapidly, Jessica ran outside to the woods even though she knew her mother had warned her not to go in there she still kept running and running until it was dusk. You see her sister meant the world to her ever since she was little Judy looked after her like fed her milk changed her nappy... you get the point! Seeing that actually Judy hated her was truly upsetting and quite shocking! So as I said she was running faster than she had ever run before and finally settled down under an old oak tree.  She was cold, tired and hungry she would give anything to be at home again!  Suddenly a pang of regret washed over her. "What have I done" she thought.

It was nearly midnight, everything seemed creepy and frightening. She was afraid to close her eyes however she badly wanted to go to sleep so it would be daytime. Everything was quiet too quiet she got up and started walking all she could hear was her own breathing and footsteps.
