these lyrics really describe the way I feel. I just put them as me seeing another girl falling apart this way, because it hurt less to write them. I know there are also other people, regardless of gender, who feel the same way.

When she was younger

she would play pretend and gaze upon the stars

Now that she's older

she's got nothing to prove

so she sits on a bench, all alone

and makes her wishes upon the passing cars

It's like she is waiting on a miracle

She spends her nights counting the stars

Its like she sees something beautiful

in all of her wounds and scars

She doesn't know why, but she still holds on

Its like she still sees a hope in the dark

She must be waiting on Superman to pick her up

and save her from falling apart

Yes, she must be waiting on Superman

to whisk her away in his arms

She had set her goals high

but on them, she couldn't keep her grasp

She has bad dreams at night

and each time she thinks she spies him in the crowd

she is reminded of her jaded past

She keeps saying there will be a better day

but she's stuck now, in her memories

and she cannot escape

It's like she is waiting on a miracle

She spends her nights counting the stars

Its like she sees something beautiful

in all of her wounds and scars

She doesn't know why, but she still holds on

Its like she still sees a hope in the dark

She must be waiting on Superman to pick her up

and save her from falling apart

Yes, she must be waiting on Superman

to whisk her away in his arms

I see her in the streets at night

recklessly she crosses, doesn't even wait for the light

she is always in a hurry, with no place to go

she offers a smile

to every stranger who passes her by

but deep down I know that her smile

its just a mask

she uses it so nobody knows

that she just wants to break down and cry

It's like she is waiting on a miracle

She spends her nights counting the stars

Its like she sees something beautiful

in all of her wounds and scars

She doesn't know why, but she still holds on

Its like she still sees a hope in the dark

She must be waiting on Superman to pick her up

and save her from falling apart

Yes, she must be waiting on Superman

to whisk her away in his arms

Yes, I said she must be waiting for superman

to pick her up

and save her from falling apart

she must be waiting for superman

to whisk her away in his arms
