“SATURDAY"

Saturday,
I want to be,
Drunk.
I want to watch movies,
I Love,
Drunk.
Hear music,
I Love,
Drunk.
Look at pictures,
That touch my very soul,
Drunk.
A clouded mind,
A softer Heart.
An understanding,
one only has,
When,
Drunk.
Anyone can stumble into,
This forbidden world.
A world that lives in the Dark,
And dies in the Light.
The price of admission,
For this view behind the Sun?
Starts out cheap,
Very Cheap.
But the more you see,
And the longer you stay.
The price will slowly,
Begin to climb.
A lucky few,
Can control it.
They are able to balance,
Between both worlds.
While never getting,
Burned by the sun,
Or lost in the Dark.
Others are able to take,
Long lingering looks,
Into this absurd Carnival,
Of Drink.
Parties,
Holidays,
Special occasions.
All E-Ticket rides.
When your,
Drunk.
But for us,
We will end up owing a debt,
That is much darker,
Than some maxed out credit cards,
And a 3-day hangover.
For us,
It’s a Friendship,
A Job,
A Marriage,
A Life.
Every time you,
Spin that wheel,
Every time you,
Take that Drink.
A wager,
Is being placed.
Just remember,
Sooner or Later,
You’re going to Lose.
The House always wins,
In the End.
And the wager,
Must be paid,
In Full.
For being,
DRUNK...
