America Was Under Attack

On September 11, 2001, at 8:45 a.m. on a Tuesday morning,

The World trade center was hit In a devastating way by two 747 planes.

The impact left gaping, burning holes.

America was under attack

Instantly killing hundreds of people and trapping hundreds more

people watched in horror looking up at the towers

as thousands of pieces of paper filled the sky.

America was under attack

The thick black smoke blows out of the towers.

The noise of sirens fills the air as emergency services Rush to help.

America was under attack

As the evacuation of the tower and its twin got underway,

television cameras broadcast live images

of the horror, which was unfolding.

Everyone knew this was no freak accident.

America was under attack

People they jumped from the burning floors-
one, two, a few more,

I sat crying as it all unfolded how could this of happened.

America was under attack

And then within the final blow the towers they fell.

Thick gray clouds of dirt, smoke fill the streets,

People on the ground run in fear.

America was under attack

As the streets start to clear, People come out,

And my god they all look the same

There faces all cover in dirt all gray and black

America was under attack

All I could think of So many loved ones left do stand
Confronting loss throughout your land

so many gone with one fatal blow.
There are no words to explain,
there must be no words to ease the pain.

A sad day for America, A sad day for all the world.

America was under attack

There are no words anyone can say to ease the pain.

Mothers, Fathers, Husbands and Wives, Brothers, Sisters
to all who’s lives today did cease,

May your soul find instant peace.
The whole world will honor you and the life you gave,

And for all Americans. God bless you all for being strong
