This is about 96 Liverpool football, that was crushed to death when too many fans were let through into the stand by the police it happened a long time ago and finally justice was done when a court said it was not the fans fault but the police and others I am a very proud Liverpool football fan and to all the family's who lost someone you did it and beat them.
96 RIP

The 96

Sheffield's Hillsborough Stadium,

On 15 April 1989. It's time for the

semi-final FA Cup tie between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest

When disaster struck a day we will never forget.

96 Liverpool fans lost their life Mothers, Fathers, Son's, Daughter's, Cousin's

lost their life, A nasty way to go crushed unable to breath.

We all cried we all held or heads and in a state of shock

So many tears shed in the dark of the night for all those

loved ones who are no longer around may they rest

in piece forever, They will always be in our hearts

I can't comprehend, Is why 96 lives had to come to an end.

And their families want to know why they lost their life.

Life should have never had to end this way

Many years on. And justice is finally done

The ones to blame were finally brought to justice

They had lied and covered up for so long

but now it was over the 96 can now rest in piece

and there family's can be so proud of how they fought and won

for the 96 for their loved ones that they will never forget

and as the famous song goes

96 RIP

I'm not familiar with the tragedy, but I applaud you for naming each of them, Simon.

It happened a long time ago in English football 96 Liverpool fans were crushed to death as too many fans were let into the stand and as you can imagine the people at the front were crushed cause they could not get out as there was metal fencing all around them it was a sad day in football and at the time the fans were blamed for the incident but the family didn't stand for that and they fought the battle and last year they won the police and other people were to blame.
It took a long time for justice but they won and now there beloved can rest in piece
Thank you for taking time to read my poem it means a lot thank you

Well done. The folly of these types of situations should never be forgotten. After reading your poem, the images from the news came back to me. That particular disaster made me aware of the fact that crowds cannot be controlled for the first time in my life; in spite of authorities trying to convince people otherwise.
