Misconception

We stood side by side

Looking  into each other's gorgeous eyes

I smiled and he smiled too

Seemed to me he knew

Hand in hand, we walked away

Together, taking our hearts along the way

Our journey had soon began

But I didn't know it had to quickly end

His eyes started to wonder

To stare at a new physique

It was all a game

Though it appears I've started the joke

But I have yet to walk away

I've been drowned till my last breath

By my lover, what a facade

I've got no soul, for goodness sakes!

Don't worry I'll get out of your way

What a mysterious misconception

So lifeless I lay

...What a good end.
