I knew you couldn't be trusted after the first time.

You came home apologized and made it up to me saying "sorry, I'll never do it again".

Eventually that never again happened again, only this time it was more intense.

A lot of people said I was a fool.

I loved you, I made excuses for you even blaming myself.

I thought it was really love, because everytime I tried to leave,

you'd hold on tight and not let me go.

You knew what you were doing.

I was blind to it all believing it was what i wanted it to be.

I wanted love, you wanted a hostage.

You found it in me, without me even really being aware.

You wanted me to chase after you, I did.

You wanted me to cry, I did.

You wanted me to hurt, I did.

You had my heart in the palm of your hand and played all the games you wished.

I was such a fool i was so blind.

You strung me along like your little puppet.

Used me, abused me, tortured and deceived me.

I was helpless, hopeless (continuously caking makeup on acting like everything was the best it

could be) knowing when we were alone I prayed I'd be able to see another day.

Everytime you'd turn up a bottle, I'd want to hide, but nothing was safe for me.

Thought I'd never escape your death grip.

I was more afraid for my children.

I knew I was in for trouble when you tried to take away our blessing.

I knew I had to leave before one of us died, but the naive part of my heart kept me stuck.

Believing fairy tales, hoping and wishing.

Constantly dreaming of something unrealistic.

Trying to fulfill my dreams, while living in a nightmare.

I had to go before the darkness consumed me, before I gave up on the whole world for what you did to me.
