It was pitch black on the block that I was walking, as the street lights had been busted out by gangs long ago and nobody bothering to replace them being as they were busted out againj as soon as they were replaced. How did I get talked into coming to this part of town--I thought despartely my mouth pulling into a grimace. Although I was well aware of the dangerous reputation of this particular area I had come regardless, the chance of finding my missing twin sister had been too strong of a pull to resist. The night sky when I glanced up was completely obscurred by opaque black storm clouds, and the thunder rumbled ominously in the distance.

For such a dangerous area it had seemed almost peaceful, nobody seemed to be wandering the street at a quarter to one in the morning, which to me at least seemed abnormal. The wind picked up whipping my reddish black hair into my face. -BOOM- a clap of thunder seemed to shake the very ground. Out of the courner of my eye I thought I saw something move in the dank shadows of the filthy ally behind me. A shiver raced down my spine, the hairs on my arms stood up straight and goosebumps rippled on my flest. Someone or something is behind me-I thought suddenly my piercing blue eyes darting around me anxiously.

I stopped walking once again my eyes darting trying to ferret out my barrings. Lightning sizzled across the sky followed by another deafening crash of thunder. Gaze sweeping the area I noticed with a sinking heart that everything was either an abandoned building or a closed locked warehouse. Once again I curesed my own stupidity for coming here in the first fucking place. What in the hell did you think you would find here, Kelly>-I asked myself angrily the corners of my eyes burning with unshed tears. With burning wet trails angry tears filled and over-flowed from my eyes making wet trails down my cheeks, I wiped them away quickly, my feet started moving almost automatically as the distinct prickly feeling of being watched scorched the back of my neck.

Fear sliced through me like a knife through butter and my pace increased from the original walk to a regular jog and finally into a full on sprint. -CRACK- thunder rolled and the lightning blinded me followed by an almost instentaneous sheet of pouring rain from the heavens. The subtle scent of ozone filled my nostrils with it's distinctive earthy rich scent reminding me of earlier more innocent childhood days.

I didn't get far before something hit me from behind, the force of the collision threw me into the air, sending me a good twelve or more feet before the ground rushed forward at an astonishing rate. My hands instinctively came out trying to absorb the jarring impact. My breathe whooshed out as I heard a diffinitive -CRACK- as a bone (or maybe bones) broke. A scream tore from my lips barely audible above the sound of the storm raging around me.

I got to my knees my jeans torn and bloody at the knee caps, a whimper escaped from between my clenched teeth as I jostled my obviously broken wrist. Wind and rain whipped my sodden hair around my face obscurring my vision, so when the next blow came I was completely unaware. It came from the right a dark blurr suddenly hit my side brutally, another crunch told me that something else was clearly broken. A choked gasp came from me. Stars danced clearly before my eyes tears of pain blurring and clouding my vision.

When the next attack came I was completely unable to brace myself at all and I hit the ground in a soaked heap of tangled bloody limbs. My breath was coming in short pain filled gasps, each more painful then the last. -God damn it- I thought -What the hell was going on here?- I squinted through the continous down-pour trying to disern where my attacker was. Even searching as I was I definitely did not see the third blow, this time coming from my left. I arced twenty feet into the air, the crunching of my ribs shattering was almost completely unnoticed.

Hot coppery blood poured from my mouth as I smashed back onto the blacktop. It made the rain wash around me run red. I coughed another crimson fountain erupted from me. -Am I dying?- I wondered silently as I lay there. I didn't have the strength left to even attempt to flee My gaze was wavering in and out as the dark edges of unconsciousness fought trying to claim me into it's obsidian depths. The faint roaring in my ears began to get over-powering as the darkness tried to overtake me.

I swore later on that in the space of a blink of an eye, probably less, he appeared towering over me. The first thing I noticed about him was his piercing silver gaze, that literally seemed to glow. A cold smile played across his perfect mouth. Moments aga I could have swore I didn't have an ounce of energy left to try and run, but I was wrong. Ignoring the incapacitating arcs of pain coming from my broken body, I staggered to my feet and tried to flee.

I got a measly two feet before a ghostly pale limb shot out, his hand pinning me to the wall with a grip like iron. He chuckled low and dangerously. I whimpered unable to speak, the words stuck in my throat. A gut wrenching cough caused more crimson liquid to spurt from between my lips.

"Now I would really hate to see that your spirit was broken already my pet," he murmurred. Almost tangible was the delight in his voice. I swear I could see it coming off him in visiable waves

"Wh-What o y-you want?" I practically croaked. My voice seemed pretty much lost to the sounds of the terrible storm. He didn't seem to have any trouble hearing me though. He tilted his head back and let loose a chilling laugh.

"Dinner," he explained simply, smiling so his teeth were visiable this time. Another fork of lightning illuminated his face allowing me to see a set of fangs protruding from the top of his mouth. -Impossible- I thought disbelievingly, -This is so not happening!-

"Oh, my god, NO!" I screamed trying vainly to escape his vice like grip. It didn't do much good. It was like trying to fight a tornado or some other unstopable force of nature. His eyes blazed with that same silve light as before. Suddenly I was paralyzed, unable to even twitch my eyebrow.

"That's better," he muttered leaning forward toward my vunerable exposed throat. That's when I began to pray to a god that I'd never really believed in anyway, since he seemed to have long since abandoned me. The prick of his fangs on my skin made me cower in fear. A second later with an audible pop those same fangs punctured the tender skin of my throat.

A low moan filled the air and it took me a moment to realize that the sound was coming from me. -Gulp. Gulp.- the sound reached my ears of him devouring my life blood and logically it should have incapacitated me with terror, but for some reason it didn't. A new feeling was coursing threw me. A sensation of exsquisite pleasure that radiated from my neck on down to my toes, The blackness of unconsciousness reached out to claim me again. But before it could, something was shoved into my mouth. Warm liquid spilled into my mouth and I tried to spit out the foriegn substance almost gagging on it.

"Now, now pet, none of that. DRINK" a masculine voice commanded me. This voice was filled with a compelling power that I couldn't seem to fight. So without any other option, I began to swallow. The world disappeared into a black fog and for the first time in my life I fainted.
