I’ve been out there scouring galaxies, exploring other planets,
This had the wrong picture, I’ve been doing it for so long that I’d really felt a panic;

It looked like all the others were all devoid of any life
and I’d have to make my way back home to face my angry wife.

Our planet was destructing and we needed somewhere new,
we were not thinking of conquering but sharing yours with you.

When I caught sight of that planet with it’s colors blue and green
my initial thought was that it was the best I’d ever seen.

But as my spaceship drew much closer, as I drew a bit near,
I could feel a strong emotion that was very much like fear.

I’d have to take a better look – there was not any doubt,
the planet that I’d landed on was not far from dying out.

I've been eavesdropping on your broadcasts, and at least to me,
a more hateful, angry planet there just couldn't be.

It sure sounds like nothing but problems and a chaotic mess,
it's sure not the paradise I first thought, I must confess.

My people are looking for a planet where we can be safe and happy,
but yours is a cesspool,  so I guess we'll keep looking for a place that's less crappy.

Besides, from your broadcasts, we learned you don't like aliens,
and will be building high walls to keep us out, the message it sends

I received, there's no getting it wrong, it's loud and clear,
you don't want us stinking aliens any where near!
