Don’t close your eyes-

Never know where the devil may lead you.

Stuck in a whirlpool of sin;

Lost

Somewhere in space or time

Looking for a crack

Or a wormhole of some kind.

Nowhere to run.

Nowhere to hide.

Is your pride worth your entire life

In the end?

Jumped in just so you could know

How deep the rabbit hole goes.

You’re still falling

Or forever adrift.

You closed your eyes-

Got pushed into a pit.

A blindfolded game from hell

And the devil’s not very good at trust fall;

Or couldn’t you tell?

You struggled to read the writing on the wall-

It said:

Something, something, “Judas.”

It said:

“Cain was here.”

And rumor has it Paul escaped,

But the voices say

He simply disappeared.

It’s a looking glass land;

A chess game

Where black and white turn gray.

You’ll never find your way home now, I fear

Those diamond slippers won’t work in here.

You keep choosing the wrong door.

You keep drinking potions.

You’re shrinking and spinning.

You’re drowning.

It’s very supernatural;

The writing’s on the wall.

Perhaps it’s superstitious

But,

I believe the ladder’s about to fall;

The devil stands behind it

In the shadows of the day

And the devil always,

Always,

Seems to find a way.
