After a long day at the pool doing nothing, but trying to calm myself down from those pesky little annoying children screaming in my ear as if their lives counted on it. Their playful annoying squeaky voices echoing around me, as they carelessly threw themselves in the dump of water. They’re little rat-like feet tapping against the floor as they tiptoed around the pool as if they had been secretly sneaking food, which they probably were. What do I care though, I’m just thankfully grateful the day has gone by.

Finishing my duties I was set for, I briskly gathered the noodle floats as they peacefully hovered around the pool. Suddenly something off caught my nose receptors, disturbing the hairs in my nose. “Its probably just another baby’s nappy that was “purposely” left behind again” I thought, however there was something strange about this smell, it was different, more tense and malodorous, I never smelt something as distressing in my whole 3 years I’ve been working in this hellhole. I could just hear my conscious laughing at how stupid I’m making this whole situation so serious.  Something about this bugged me, i don’t care how stupid or how superstitious I sounded, i wanted to find out what it was, i knew, i knew it wasn't that simple.
