Today, I work. Tomorrow, I’ll rest on my soft cushion couch. I imagine to rest on it reading a fantasy or even a novel about history’s greatest war heroes. Maybe my sibling who reads a lot also will contribute a reading list special for me. The world full of books is the best one, full of tale and song. The grief, the triumph all composed into one painting of words and outlines. They fill my brain up with the water of the seven seas, and they encourage my mind to set sail in a wave of dream. The dreams tell tales of all sorts of kinds. Some short, while some long. Each with a motive and drive. I love the long ones the most. They depict much for my head. Even while reading, I can see the sight. From the greatest canyon to the smallest mice. It shows me so much. In a book so small, I can’t even carry on how those words get so tall. The pages flap with brilliance and with an unending flick of care. The pen and the paper all are there. Now with the work all done and complete, all that must be taken is a most needed sleep.
