Hate

Let’s stir up a bit of hate,

make you despise each other;

if we don’t attract you one way

we’ll do so in another.

When it comes to your religion

we can push it really far;

intolerance comes easily

where churches leave a scar.

We’ll go for something basic,

how about your race;

often you can be identified

by the appearance of your face.

There’s also age that’s great to use,

turn the young against the old;

or paint the young as deviant,

as arrogant and cold.

Rich and poor, two extremes

that will turn upon each other;

envy and jealousy, snobbishness,

any sympathy will smother.

Those that cannot get a job,

those that are in some way sick;

let us put our spin on it,

we’ll always do the trick.

For people are so easily led,

their tempers will inflate;

once we get to work on them

and inspire lots of hate!
