?The bean bags were smooth, but I knew it wasn't the reason why I was comfortable here. It was him. His hand gently grasping mine. We were seated against the wall which directly faced the projection screen across the class. He'd already moved the tables (hopefully by himself) and put the movie when our dance was over. It explained why he'd disappeared like that. I thought he'd run off again. But now I know he won't. He turned and looked at me as he slowly brought himself closer to me and pressed his lips against my cheek. I know it would sound like we were prudes, but I knew why he'd done it.

 I whispered.

?"One step at a time," he replied.

?With that, he pulled away as his infamous grin appeared.

?"So are you gonna tell me why we're here instead of down at the gymnasium with our friends and parents?"

?"Hmm. Somehow, I have a feeling that this will compensate,"

?He got up and moved to his open laptop. Roughly tapping the keys, he brought it back with him and connected the VGA cable as he switched the projector on with the remote I could only assume he'd stolen from the drawer. I peeked the laptop screen and saw him scrolling through his downloads. Finally, he hightlighted a single file. Upon seeing the file's name, my heart lifted. He, however, didn't waste any time in justifying his actions.

?"Just so we're clear, this is a one time thing, ok?"

?I giggled and pulled him in so that our lips were barely an inch away. I didn't really expect him to try and kiss me, but I figured he deserved a little teasing as a reward for what he'd just done. The projection screen illuminated with the contents of Jonathan's downloads and the file which read '?Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge?' was even larger now. Sighing deeply, Jonathan double-clicked on the file and it began playing. He rested the laptop nearby as we laid back and his hand perched itself on my shoulder. I couldn't stop myself from smiling.
