Just a sort poem pondering the question, "Are we better off digitizing?" --- Or maybe the question is about the cost???

In a fog of shaded memories

Life is captured

Not exact

Or always truthful in replay.

What happened in the (then)

Is sometimes lost

Replaced with varied thoughts

Of yesterday.

The sun seldom shines

On shaded memories

It is something

That is very seldom done.

You try to save the pieces

In photo form

And pretty soon

All those photos weigh a ton.

Alas, they were digitized

To save space

On a hand full of disks

They are neatly filed away.

In your latter years

Nostalgia begs to see them

But they can't be read

By computers of the day.

I can fix it

Says some Geek at the store

I'll send them to the Cloud

And you can see them any time.

Just pay me lots of money

And pay the monthly fees.

So now it costs me thirty dollars

To see what only cost a dime.
