After a recent trip to London I couldn't wait to get back up North. Sorry, London, I'm not a fan.

London

Two days is too long

To spend in your company

London you are rude

A Canadian I said hello to

bought me a pint to thank me

Saying hello must be

Such a change down there

You make have a nice day

Sound like an insult

And this city lad

Feel like a bumpkin

You've got Abbey Road

Palaces and parliament

And the underground

But it's packed with

Ignorant no eye contact

No 'excuse me' shoulder barges

You offer everything

Glitz glamour and fame

But you have the arrogance

Of a woman who knows she's beautiful

You have Saville Row style

And catwalk swagger

But you have no soul

Having seen your sights

I've had enough

At Euston I plot my escape

As I board the train

I wipe London from my shoes.
