Am I A man’s Best Friend?

I’m thinking of you right now
I doubt you even care,
You have chosen to abandon me
it’s so unfair.

Laying on the cold cement
bars surround my world,
If no one comes to rescue me
my life is over; unfurled.

Cruelty is a sin born of evil
how can you treat me so badly,
Dogs are supposed to be man’s best friend,
abused, I still pine for you sadly.
