…sweat is slowly traveling down my face and my eyes are getting dry, one blink and I might miss some details. All I can hear is my own breathing and the sound of interrupted frequency on my ear piece. “Shoot it”, ten minutes had passed since I heard that command. “What the hell are you doing? Shoot…” Before he had finished his word I had planted that bullet straight to that man’s temple. And the entire policeman came to secure the place.

Just as how fast that bullet travels, I found myself inside this hotel room. I need to take a shower and maybe get some sleep. The warm water touching my skin is not enough to calm my trembling muscles, “first man down and more to come.” I keep on saying that to myself. I try to wash my face maybe it could erase the image of blood flowing out of that man’s head a while ago. I washed and washed my face.

“Not bad for a first shot” as he offer me a clean towel. “But next time don’t take that long, it pissed me off.” and he opened a bag full of cash. “Please check if you want” and he took some and smell it.

I continue washing my face and pretend not to hear him; after all he always talks a lot like a nagging wife. I took some clean shirt and put it on. “Are you enjoying the view James?”

“…What view? The money or the half-naked woman in front of me?”, throwing teasing eyes on me.

“Is this the price of one blood?” looking at the bag full of money

“It’s just a starting price” and he came near me and hold my hand. “Trembling? I do worst on my first time; I missed the first bullet and took me three shot before I got a man down. You are indeed better than I,” while rubbing my hands with him. “Listen Kate, this job may seem not humane to you, but who is being humane now a day? We are not paid to kill innocent people. We kill bad ones.”

Placing his hands on my face and looking straight to my face. “My dear, you don’t have to be afraid, we remain anonymous as always. Trust me.” I could feel the sincerity in his words. I look closely to the middle aged man in front of me. With the lines on his face you can tell that he’d been thru a lot. His hair that was brushed up and waxed perfectly cannot hide the nearly gray one. He is still fit even with his age, and can still seduce women with his firm chest and strong arms.

“Did you get me my passport?” I took the bag and place it under the bed.

“You have to dye your hair red and do some accent, we are heading London.” While handling me my new passport and a bag of dye.

“Red headed woman huh, and who are we working with now?”

“An Englishman, I got your place done and you will be working with some guy for this, I will be in distant watching over you” handing me a folder full of files and pictures.

“You mean it will not be just the two of us?”

“Yes dear, you need to make your act as convincing as possible, this is a billion dollar project and we are staying there not just for a day but for quite some time.” Showing me a picture of a man at his 30s with emerald green eyes matching his dark brown hair in army cut. Even with his black sleeves I can sense that he has a full pack abs hiding inside.

“He is one of us .Meet Chris, you’ll be working with him, you’ll be seeing him on the plane later, I trust the brain inside that shell dear, I know you can find him.”

“Why are you not coming with me?”

“I cannot, I will be your eyes around. Do not be afraid my dear, though you cannot see me I am always there watching you kissing some men.” Laughing, James is like a father to me. He had been protecting and teaching me all the skills that I knew now. Knowing that he is not coming makes me feel terrible. What if I fail and get killed there instead?

“I will leave you now, get some rest and will call you tomorrow.” And he kissed my head and went his way.

I took the dye and started painting my hair red…
