I met someone today, but he was not

The person that I thought that I had seen.

I saw him in the Rain and was surprised

At the color of his hair

And it's sheen.

I said, "Hello" and he just smiled a crescent smile

I know it was, because I've seen Crescent Moons.

In the rain they seem to glow like city streetlights,

But in the evening, like the sand upon the Dunes.

When the rain plays its tunes, I see him there,

That moon-mouthed person, --- that stand in the rain

I would talk to him, if he ever would respond

But the mirror that he lives in, doesn't hear beyond the pain.
