The Laugh That Came From A Fall

Removed from the world

Thee hours tick by

__on a lonely clock

____on a God awful wall

The moments of laughter have passed

And friends have been long gone

Into the dust

__the remains of life went

As the see-sew teeter-totters

The lost souls unite

__under a sky of loss

And when I go bonkers

You will know my strife

The saddened remorse

__follows me everywhere I go

And thru-out time and space

__you can see me

____pacing back and forth

______from time to time

Aiming my eyes to the skies above

As they pour down rain

The saddest of the times

__brings nothing but doubt to my mind

And nothing but pain grips my heart

So as the people desert me

____I see no reasoning

______involved in my desertion

And as I cannot seem

__to grasp the meaning of living this life

____I slip and fall

______and land on my ass

Knowing I can't pick myself up

__I just laugh

And suddenly

__the world is funny again

Life can go on

Birds start to sing

And nostalgia comes back from the dead

And greets me with a memory

__of when being alone

____never seemed to matter
