Remember Me

Why won't you change the future? Is it because you can't? Or do you just think you can't? Why don't you try? Your eyes work, your skin feels, your tongue tastes, your ears hear, your legs work. What is holding you back? Don't you want to be remembered? At all?

It was 1929, Dana's house had burned down. Her brother William had died. Her parents had survived but, she wished they didn't. They were very abusive toward Dana and William when he was alive.

Now this wasn't some clichè house burns down, sad, dramatic story. She didn't have a house so she was able to move in with her Oma (grandmother) but her parents were there too. Unlike most young people then, Dana went to school. She adored her teacher; Mr.Johansen, and was a very smart student. When William was alive he was quite smart but dropped out of school at 12 to work, which was a very normal thing to do then. Dana was only 10 but was in grade 8! It was unheard of then to skip grades but she found a way.

Along with school, Dana was an excellent painter. She dreamed of being a famous artist like the ones she read about like; Leanardo De Vinchi, or Claude Monet. Though Dana didn't want to become famous when she was dead, she wanted to become memorable while alive.

I'm not one to make chapters in a book but in this there are certainly chapters of her life. I won't spoil anything but just wait.
